Co-workers by chance, but friends by choice. That is where our story begins and it doesn’t stop there, we felt inspired to do and be so much more.
Needing a creative outlet and a source to break up the monotony that work life can bring, we set out to design, not just a blog, but an ultimate resource for young professional women. We are here to make you laugh, make you think, inspire you to go after what you want, share lessons we learned the hard way and provide you the tools to be the best version of yourself.
FTF is just like you and we know how hard it can be. We too look around the room for a more ‘adulty’ adult only to realize that ‘it’s all up to you girl’, we too can barely keep our succulents alive, we too laugh at our bank account while calculating how to survive off $30 until the next paycheck, and yes, we too still Google “what does Roth 401K even mean?”.
Our purpose is to be unapologetically real. Real women, real stories, real advice. If you’re looking for filters, fantasy vacations and false perceptions – we can tell you now this isn’t the place for you. If you’re interested in the lives of six professional millennial women who each encompass a unique view on the daily realities of the workplace, then grab a cup of coffee or tea (we don’t discriminate) and join us!
I’m Kinsey, the creative! I am a digital designer who enjoys both the aesthetics and the data. I have a strong passion and ridiculous commitment to trying new strategies and ideas. I love staying busy and if I’m not behind a screen, I’m probably roaming Target with an iced passion tea or 4 seasons deep in a Netflix binge with my cat. My life goal is to be 100% remote and design from all over the world with the love of my life by my side. Read Kinsey's Blogs
I'm Emily G$ - the dollar sign is silent. I'm a public relations specialist at a global firm by day and by night you can find me on a Dallas rooftop patio sipping Sauvignon Blanc. Writing, reading, home decor and Game of Thrones are a few things I'm particularly passionate about. I've caught the travel bug and I'm a big fan of the in-betweens, the time it takes to get somewhere. I also believe that Sundays, old bookstores, iced lattes and bad jokes can cure just about anything! Read Emily's Blogs
I’m Alexis and I'm fluent in English and memes. When I'm not on the 9-5 grind as an account coordinator I usually think about working out, but end up at the nearest happy hour instead. I graduated with a degree in strategic communications and am always looking for ways to improve as a newly professional #millennial. Once I settle down, my goal is to establish a career that is flexible so I can double as foster mom for my local animal shelter. Until then, I'll be taking weekend trips and going the extra mile for a good Insta. Read Alexis' Blogs
I’m Farha, pronounced far-uh, but you can call me Farha-out as many do. I am a public relations and digital specialist who used to work in the heart of Hollywood. I am the epitome of being extra. I love a good Moscow mule, local fashion shows and anything Rick and Morty. You can most likely find me at the nearest music event or rooftop pool. I believe anything can be accomplished with the right lipstick and a coffee in hand. Read Farha's Blogs
I’m Emily D., and I work as a digital strategist with a research and analytics love affair. As the self-proclaimed super nerd of FTF, I enjoy playing video games (Pokémon is still my favorite), consuming all things matcha, and binging reality competition shows. I also have a Passion for Fashion™ spending far too much time and money updating my wardrobe and stalking my favorite fashion bloggers on social media. My biggest career goal is to someday create the digital strategy for an award winning, industry acclaimed ad campaign. Read Emily's Blogs
I’m Donna and I specialize in public relations. Although my bachelor’s degree is in business marketing, I found myself pursuing PR and love it. Outside of work, I enjoy visiting new places whenever I can – the beach, the mountains, small towns or big cities. Finding ways to stay active and lead a healthy lifestyle has become a recent passion of mine, although sometimes pizza prevails. I love to spend time with my dog, fiancé, family and friends, preferably with a good Cabernet in my hand. Read Donna's Blogs
